I must confess I have a bit of a hot chocolate addiction. However my quest to find a healthier version of my beloved evening drink was met with this – a healthy hot cacao. The best part is that it’s bursting with flavonoids and antioxidants. Hot chocolate that’s truly good for you? I’m in! This absolutely gives me my hot chocolate fix and I am released of any guilt.
Raw Cacao Hot Chocolate

minutesA healthy hot chocolate, bursting with benefits! Heat this up on the stove for a cozy night in and enjoy.
Ingredients
2 tsp raw cacao powder (I use a heaping dessert spoon for a big mug)
250 ml of plant based milk (Creamiest milks will be soy, oat, coconut or cashew)
3-5 drops of chocolate stevia OR 2 tsp maple syrup (to taste)
Directions
- Add all the ingredients to the pan.
- Turn onto a medium heat and whisk them all together. Heat until it is hot, but not at boiling point.
- Pour into your mug and enjoy!
Optional extras
- Add a dash of cinnamon or even some coconut whipped cream for an extra luscious treat!
