I genuinely love the worlds of beauty and skincare, and since becoming a beauty editor my skincare routine has changed regularly. Therefore I want to share my current skincare routine and my favorite products of the moment. Being a full-time mom and running PinkKale makes it hard to get out for regular facials and treatments, but I do my best to make good skincare a priority. I hope these recommendations will help you do the same.
One Love Organics Foaming Cleanser. This cleanser is entirely plant-based and non-drying. It works really well on my sensitive skin and can be used as a body wash too. My husband is also a fan of this product and regularly steals it from me. I first tried using it with their cleansing sponge, which I really wanted to love but unfortunately made me break out. However, if you are not prone to breakouts, the sponge might work well for you. I’ll definitely buy this product again. $29, oneloveorganics.com
Joanna Vargas Rejuvenating Serum. Joanna Vargas is super knowledgeable about skincare. I absolutely adore her and her products; they are all natural and made with incredible ingredients. This serum is recommended for morning and night, but I save it for nighttime, just to make it last a little longer. It’s hydrating and lightweight and doesn’t cause my skin to break out. Argan oil is the core ingredient of this product; it helps make the skin glow and keeps it hydrated. This serum also has great anti-inflammatory properties. I know I shouldn’t be, but I’m always wary of using oils on my face. Still, this one is fantastic. I wish I had the money to buy this all the time! $100, Joanna Vargas
Orico London High Rise Rejuvenating Eye Elixir is packed with antioxidants and is nice and light. It’s easily absorbed so you don’t have to wait too long to put your makeup on afterward. This product is also fragrance-free and contains aloe vera, which is very soothing. I love that these products are Eco Cert certified, so you can be confident they’re free of chemicals. $37, Orico London
Joanna Vargas Exfoliating Mask. This is another of Joanna’s products that I just love. Unfortunately I’m almost out and that makes me super sad! It really helps keep your skin clean, radiant and breakout free. It also works great for drying out pimples—just leave it on overnight as a spot treatment. The enzymatic scrub is gentle on the skin and contains volcanic ash, pineapple and kojic acid to lighten and brighten the skin—which I need a lot of these days. I use this twice a week for about 20 minutes. (Joanna says that in the colder months you can cut your exfoliating back to once a week.) $75, Joanna Vargas
Orico London Full Cup Bust & Neck Treatment. I think it’s so important to pay attention to the bust & neck areas, as they’re so often overlooked when it comes to skincare. I like that this product reminds me to pay a little extra attention to these areas. What’s more, it contains c. mukul oleoresin, a 100% natural breast enhancement oil. I haven’t noticed any enlarging happening yet (I wish it was that easy) but it does feel really lovely going onto the skin. It’s a little pricey, but it lasts a long time. $50, Orico London
Intelligent Nutrients Anti-Aging Mist. I just love this brand—they have so many great products and excellent standards. I use this mist as a refresher during the day. It’s also great for hydrating and setting makeup. Its gluten free, vegan and USDA certified. $40, Intelligent Nutrients
Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen and Primer, Broad Spectrum SPF30. This is a fantastic multi-use product that is perfect for my busy mornings. It absorbs nicely into the skin and is really rich, so you can apply it sparingly. It’s free of chemicals and has lots of soothing anti-inflammatory properties. I received a sample of their tinted moisturizer and really liked the moderate amount of tint. You can throw it on when you want an effortless, natural look. $45, Suntegrity
